School Wide Activities across 2022-2023
With the success of the carnival, staff decided to organize year-end events for the entire school to take part in. The final week of school hosted four different events for students and staff to take part in.
- Monday there was a fun-dae—all the students got to build a sundae to enjoy together outside in the heat.
- On Tuesday, it was pyjama and stuffie day—students and staff wore PJs, brought their favourite friend, and took part in a movie afternoon in the gym.
- On Wednesday it was Camp Day. A cookout for the whole school was had and then off to spend time in tents and playing field games with the parachute, bocci, lawn bowling, lawn darts (no real darts were used) and of course, corn hole.
- The week ended with Summerpalooza on our final day with a variety of bubbles, sidewalk chalk, large group games and of course an abundance of flying water!
These events have brought the school together to take part in safe and fun activities through a mixture of age groups. This provided us all with the opportunity to work together and to interact with each other beyond the limitation of our brick-and-mortar building.
This was a definite hit for all our students and staff and is something we will carry into our next school year.
